The Window Seat

Window Seat

“The Window Seat” is one of the very few things that the human race hasn’t lost its interest over many decades. Be it a bus, a train or a plane, the window seat has its own privilege.  Irrespective of the travel duration, our first preference is always given to this seat.  Affected are those, who deny sitting on the window seat.

Keeping aside the “Where” about the seat and focusing on “What” the seat is, tells us many casual realities which we fail to observe, unfortunately. If one thinks it is all about the light and wind that makes this seat special, then there are lots missed by that narrow mind.

With a minimal fare, the window seat offers a surrealistic interaction to the world around you. Some of the few things that are buried deep into your thoughts might be the chunks of sights you had through the window. It is only the objects that pass by and not the impressions it leaves you with.
The window seat has never ceased to provide what your soul wanted then. It gives the words you lack to complete your poem, thoughts that constantly fuels you. Being facilitated in our comfort zone, the window seat reveals the harsh truth that happens around us.

Deeper the obsession over the seat, stronger it sows the seeds of necessary change in you.

It constantly reminds you that the destination is one step closer every time you peep through the window. It gives you an easy access wrapped with the honor of feeling: the rain, smell of the sand that follows, strand of her hair in the front seat that flows behind and the voice of nature.

It has been a small screen in motion, to stage your thoughts. Conquering this seat has always been the major goal among the kids. The pride they hold as the conqueror doesn’t wear out throughout the journey.

Wouldn’t life be so interesting when people see and feel each other as “The Window Seat”?
